Experience the Historic Charm of Campbell River Lodge
Nestled along the banks of the renowned Campbell River, Campbell River Lodge is a historic gem with a rich legacy as the city's oldest and most distinctive fishing lodge. Built in 1948, our lodge offers a unique blend of tradition, natural beauty, and modern comfort.
Guests can enjoy complimentary high-speed internet throughout the property, as well as access to our beautiful gardens and direct entry points to the river. Whether you're looking to swim, fish, snorkel, or kayak, the stunning natural surroundings provide the perfect setting for your outdoor adventures. (Please bring your own equipment and ensure you have the necessary licenses where required.)
Conveniently located in the heart of Campbellton, the lodge is just a short walk from shopping centers and local dining options. For those looking to explore the area's renowned wildlife and marine life, the docks and tour operators are only a five-minute drive away.
Under new ownership and management since 2023, we have been dedicated to enhancing every aspect of the guest experience. Over the past year, we have made numerous upgrades based on guest feedback and will continue to invest in further improvements to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay.
We offer a variety of room options to suit your needs, providing a cozy retreat after a day of exploration. We look forward to welcoming you to Campbell River Lodge—where history, nature, and hospitality come together.
Beginning in early 2024, we renovated some of our traditional log cabin rooms, upgrading them with brand-new bathrooms featuring walk-in showers, as well as modern air conditioning and heating systems.
(In addition, we have been making ongoing upgrades throughout the main hotel to enhance comfort and convenience for our guests.)
These thoughtfully updated spaces offer the perfect blend of historic charm and modern amenities—preserving the classic 1940's log cabin aesthetic while ensuring a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
As we are fortunate to share our riverfront location with an abundance of wildlife, you may have the chance to witness a breathtaking display of nature right from the lodge. Keep an eye out for our resident pair of bald eagles perched in the trees, deer quietly wandering through the gardens in the early mornings (and occasionally nibbling on the grass!), and even the occasional black bear making its way along the riverbank in search of its next fish supper.
In addition, raccoons, black stoats, and harbor seals can often be spotted nearby, while during salmon season, the river comes to life with fish leaping through the water—a true spectacle of the Pacific Northwest’s natural beauty. Recently, we’ve also noticed beaver activity just behind the lodge, adding another fascinating glimpse into the thriving ecosystem that surrounds us.
In the main hotel, we offer our comfortable Queen rooms, each providing unique views of the gardens and river. These rooms are equipped with a cozy Queen-sized bed, a fridge, TV, air conditioning/heating, and a private bath/shower for your convenience.
For those seeking additional space, we also have a limited number of Double Queen rooms, featuring two Queen-sized beds to accommodate families or larger groups.
